There are lots of exciting things happening this year in both the South African and international Magic Community!

There have been some major changes to the Planeswalker Points multipliers and the Premier Play tournaments for the year. Please read Wizard’s official announcement for the details. Please post any questions you may have about the changes as a comment below.

Congratulations to Craig Leach for winning the Pro Tour Qualifier: Dark Ascension in Cape Town last December! Craig will be on his way to Honolulu, Hawaii in February to take part in the Pro Tour! Pro Tour Qualifier: Avacyn Restored is coming up on February 25th, 2012 at Outer Limits Melville in Johannesburg, be sure to check out both the PTQ Info page as well as the Facebook Event!

On top of all this we have a new set to celebrate about!

Dark Ascension is the second set in the Innistrad block and if you’ve seen some of the spoilers on the web, you’re just as excited as I am! Please check the events calendar on the right hand side of this page to find a Pre-release, Launch Party or Game Day happening close to you!

Saturday sees the December edition of A.I. Fest bringing you some Sealed and Legacy tournaments!

Sunday is the big one with the Sealed PTQ: Dark Ascension in Cape Town as well as a Legacy tournament at Outer Limits Melville (JHB) and a Modern tournament at Vee’s Video (JHB)!
